What Being Enstooled Really Means and What it means for Collective

The enstoolment of Nana “Dre” Yaw Taylor as Mawrehene of Obosomase, Ghana is not about status.

It is about responsibility.

Within the Ashanti Kingdom, the role of Mawrehene serves as a key advisor. It carries cultural authority, community obligation, and long term stewardship of people and land.

Enstoolment means accountability.
To land.
To people.
To community.

 It requires presence, not appearances.
Consistency, not speed.
Respect for structure, not shortcuts.

A chief is expected to protect interests, resolve issues, and help build community that lasts beyond any one project.

For the Collective, this matters.

Projects rooted in legitimate authority and real community move differently.
Trust is deeper.
Risk is lower.
Ownership is protected.

This moment belongs to the Collective.

We are building with intention, together, and what comes next will reflect that

This is how generational ownership in Ghana is built.

As part of this work, we are planning early community initiatives including a learning lab, free internet access, and a community gym.

Which community initiative are you most excited to support first?

A. Learning lab and skills training
B. Free community internet access
C. Community gym and wellness space
D. A different idea you would like to propose
